Years ago I played music for a band called Dash the Assassin. This song is about my experience in a band and wanted different things. Like a wife, stuff, time, friends. I lost a lot of friends. Music sorta consumed my life.

Then I expected to play music and, you know, win girls hearts – old and new. My priorities were sorta terrible. So with no money and thousands of dollars in debt our band broke up and I didn’t know what to do next. This song sorta explains it. Maybe- maybe not. But you will get some perspective on my thought process and I feel that is beneficial while listening.

So when I am on vacation I spend 80% of the time writing songs. I rarely get time to write if I am busy. Which I always am. I have wrote a thousand songs in my life. I am a bad at vocals, good at song writing. I do write songs for Bekah Bradley. She is a much better singer than I am.

Here is Lion’s Heart. I write about lions a lot in my songs because it reminds me of my friend Laura who passed away. I used to send her songs on myspace when that was around. She always preferred to listen to my songs and take the time to talk to me about them. When we lived together she would ask me to play the ones she liked on my back porch.

One of my favorite things to do is play my guitar. Early morning Saturday while everyone was out of the house I wrote this song in two takes, here is the version I recorded so I don’t forget the song. I hate forgetting songs. Even if they suck. I just hate forgetting them.

These kids are in my youth group. Lots of good stuff here. Lots of God stuff going on in our church lately and our ministry. Rusty, Abigail, and Christian were very transparent when I talked with them. I am lucky enough to be the guy who films and edit these.

Recently this past week I launch 2 sites.

1- My freelance

2- My free resource blog

Good to know they are both up and finished. Pixel started after my friend James Graves and I wanted to start a blog. We both are terrible at spelling so we didn’t know what we were going to do. Then we decided what if we gave away free code and design stuff! Then after 4 months of trying to find a good domain name we finally got pixel up! There is more to that story but its been a long hard road keeping pixel up-to-date and it just now starting to get hits we are happy with.

Anyways, thats all I have to say…

sony turntable ps-lx250h replace belt

I just had to fix this dang thing. After not finding a great solution with pictures on the internet to do this replacement I fixed my turntable and then took it apart to take photos. I know such a pain!

First step is to attach the belt:

Then place “the silver circle thing” back on the turntable. Make sure you can grab the belt when you place it back on. I put a quarter between the belt in and the whatever you call it so I could grab the belt.

Pull the belt so it fits around the coper thing. And with lots of general descriptions you are done!

The Start of Something…

So this past weekend I started to follow some instructions online on how to get a Bic 940 turntable to work. After a couple hours I realized this project was starting to look harder than I thought. The tray still doesn’t spin. I am not sure if everything is connected in the guts of it either. If only I had a manual with pictures of how this is supposed to look on the inside.

I may be looking for a cheaper solution. Like finding a working turntable. Or paying someone for their services. Someone who knows something about vintage record players. — Cause I don’t.
